Chet Elliot

Chet Elliot fought in WWII . He joined at age 19 and 6 weeks after D Day. He worked on half-tracks. On his first day, 3 of his friends were killed. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge and it was bad. He was too stupid to be afraid. One day in war a Sherman came up to him but miraculously left him alone,  so he did the same to three German boys. On the last day of the war he got his face blown off. He slept on the Sigfried Line. His weapon was a M1 with a bayonet . He was born in 1923. His final position was corporal.

Football

The pressure is on.  So far this season we’ve remained undefeated, but not by much.  The Fresno State Bulldogs area good match for us and I don’t know how the game will go.

It’s sunny and warm and we’re feeling good.  The first play of the game goes to the Bulldogs and they make a touchdown right off the bat.  Now we’ve got the ball, but my best friend, Jake, throws a Pick 6.  It seems as if the game is already over, but then miraculously we make the next two touchdowns.  It’s all tied up in the 4^th quarter.  We score a touchdown in the last 4 minutes.  Game over.

 

 

Hyperfire Review

The Nerf Hyperfire is a fully automatic gun.  It is $60 including tax.  It has one tactical rail and a massive 25-dart drum.  It takes four D batteries which makes it kind of heavy for a nerf gun.  It is the fastest Nerf gun ever to be made and shoots a whopping 5 darts per second. The jam door is unique because it has a button on top that you have to slide down to open.  Underneath the jam door there is a conveyor belt that spews the darts out rapidly.

DIY bath bombs/bath salt

So first, I am going to tell what happens when you put a bath bomb in your bath. Bath bombs have food coloring, but don’t worry because there is very little and you or your bath will not get stained.  So, how to make these cool fizzing bombs. First, you need Epsom salt, citric acid, corn starch and baking soda and the wet ingredients are water, vegetable oil/ castor oil, food coloring and essential oils for fragrance and a small and medium-sized mixing bowl. So pour in a 1/4 cup of baking soda, a 1/8 cup of Epsom salt, a 1/8 cup of corn starch, and 1/8 cup of citric acid.  Put that in the big mixing bowl, put the lid on and shake for 20 seconds.  When it is all well-mixed, take the lid off. Then get the small mixing bowl and put in 1 1/2 teaspoons of castor or vegetable oil, followed by 1 teaspoon of water, then put in 20-40 drops of essential oil. Next put in 12-15 drops of food coloring, then slowly pour the liquid together while mixing so there is no fizzing.  And that is how to make a bath bomb.   

Finding Fossils

On Tuesday I went on a hike with a naturalist named Joel.  We climbed boulders and found 3 caves,  a sulfur stream,  and the fossils. It was a short hike about 2 and 1/2 miles and really fun. Usually, I do not want to go on hikes just like this one, but it turned out to be cool. Here are all of the fossils I found.

Origami Yoda

Origami Yoda is a funny book. It is about a weird kid named Dwight who has an Origami Yoda on his finger. That is not the weirdest part, he also digs holes in his backyard and sits in them and he constantly says purple. The story is also about Yoda who helps people with their problems. An Interview with my Mom

1. What did you spend your first paycheck on?  I was 15 and I worked as a carhop at a restaurant called Fat Jacks. I used my first paycheck to buy clothes.
2. Have you ever smoked a cigarette?  Yes, but only once.  It made me feel so sick and I never wanted to do it again after that.  I’m so thankful that I never tried again.
3. What is your first memory?  My first memory is of when I was about 2 years old and my mom took my first bottle away.  I remember sitting on the couch and what the bottle looked like.  It was a brown and yellow bear.
4. What was your favorite job?  My favorite job was when I was a waitress at a restaurant called The Hungry Hunter.  I worked there while I went to college and I loved getting the tips.  I always felt like I had a lot of cash.
5. Who was your favorite relative?  My favorite relative was my grandpa on my mom’s side.  He was really poor and lived in a halfway house, but he always gave me a lot of attention, played games with me, and taught me how to do long division.  He would even take the bus across town to our house if I was sick and bring me ice cream.

Nerf N Strike Elite Strongarm

This gun performs very well!! It has one tactical rail and two sling points. This N-strike elite pistol has a rotating barrel that carries 6 darts. It is pretty large for a pistol. It also has slamfire. A pro is that it has a large handle that is great for all ages. A con is it sometimes has a hard time doing slamfire.   (this rarely happens)  I recommend this gun .

Nerf N-Strike Elite Rapid Strike Review

This is the Rapid Strike CS-18 Nerf gun.  It performs extremely well with 3 sling points and 4 tactical rails.  Personally, I like this gun because it shoots really fast, is incredibly accurate and has an 18 dart mag.  It requires 4 C batteries.  In my opinion, it is the best N-Strike Elite gun ever created.
